The Hellenic Mediterranean University International Relations Office and the European University ATHENA celebrated Women’s Day with a webinar, called ‘Women in Science‘ on the 8th of March 2021.

To raise awareness and start a discussion about gender equality at the ATHENA European University, the International Relations Office of the Hellenic Mediterranean University organizes a Women in Science round table discussion. The event will take place through the zoom platform on the 8th of March (Woman’s Day), starting at 10.00

Seven distinguished female scientists from Sweden, Denmark, France, Spain, Slovenia, Greece, and Israel will discuss with us the challenges they have faced during their professional development in sciences and their proposals for making smaller the gender gap in Academia.

Finally, responsible staff from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain will present the Gender Equality Unit that was established in their facilities and how it has contributed to improving gender equality within their Institution.
