Study in Uzbekistan with a Government Scholarship - Silk Road International University admission 2026

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has allocated state-funded scholarships for citizens of Greece to pursue one-year Master’s degree programmes at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand — the first and only international university specialising in tourism and cultural heritage in Uzbekistan and across Central Asia.

The opportunity is shared with HMU by the University’s Global Education Department, which invites talented graduates to continue their studies in the heart of the Silk Road.

What the scholarship covers

  • Full tuition fee coverage
  • Monthly stipend of USD 500
  • Accommodation support of USD 100 per month
  • USD 200 per year to support travel within Uzbekistan, giving students the chance to explore the country’s rich cultural heritage

Master’s programmes available

Programmes are taught in English and include:

  • Tourism and Hospitality
  • Management
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Economics
  • Logistics
  • Museology — Reconstruction, Repair and Preservation of Historical and Cultural Objects
  • Archaeology

Some programmes require proof of English proficiency, for example IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 72, or CEFR B2.
