Students at the Hellenic Mediterranean University are invited to take part in an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) hosted by the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland:
From Drone Data to Digital Twins: Smart Technologies for Sustainable Infrastructure
The programme addresses the growing European demand for specialists who can integrate unmanned aerial systems, geospatial technologies, digital twins, and sustainable infrastructure management — within the framework of the European Green Deal and the Digital Europe Strategy.

What you will learn
The BIP focuses on modern applications of UAV photogrammetry and geospatial technologies in sustainable infrastructure management, including:
- UAV mission planning and aerial surveying
- Photogrammetric processing, orthophoto generation, and point clouds
- Digital Surface and Terrain Models (DSM / DTM)
- GIS analysis and infrastructure monitoring
- Renewable energy inspection and smart cities
- Digital twins, environmental assessment, and sustainable development
Hands-on training uses industry tools such as Agisoft Metashape, Pix4D Mapper, DJI Terra, QGIS, and ArcGIS, with international team projects and field work.
Who it is for
The main discipline is Production Engineering, with related fields including Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Cartography, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Information Technology, Internal Security, and Spatial Planning.
