BIP Future Food, May 18-22, 2026

Students from the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics are invited to apply for the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Future Food: From Innovative Idea to Sustainable Product” to take place at Utena Higher Education Institution, Utena, Lithuania

Program aim: To develop students’ competencies in food innovation and sustainability by integrating creative ideas, scientific knowledge, and technological solutions for future food production. The program aims to foster collaboration between international students in addressing global food challenges and promoting sustainable product development.

Description: The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme “Future Food: From Innovative Idea to Sustainable Product” focuses on the latest trends and innovations in the food and dairy industries. Students participate in lectures, laboratory and practical sessions, and group projects, developing innovative and sustainable food products—from concept to market-ready stage. The program also includes study visits to the company UAB “Pieno tyrimai” and a dairy processing factory, providing real-world insights into modern food technologies and the circular economy.

Number of Participants: 15

Total number of participants from HMU: 5 (2 or 3 from each relevant Department)

The BIP is organized in two stages
Online activities: May 11-17, 2026
Real activities: Utena, Lithuania, May 18-24, 2026.
