DESCRIPTION:The International Week of the Hellenic Mediterranean University is an annual international academic event that brings together university staff\, academics\, researchers\, and students from partner institutions across Europe and beyond. Hosted in Crete\, the event aims to strengthen international cooperation\, promote mobility opportunities\, and encourage the exchange of good practices in higher education. Through a combination of lectures\, workshops\, panel discussions\, and networking activities\, International Week provides a platform for dialogue on contemporary challenges and innovations in academia. \nThe thematic focus of the event reflects key priorities in modern higher education\, including internationalisation\, digital transformation\, doctoral studies\, virtual exchange and collaborative online international learning (COIL)\, peace education\, artificial intelligence in higher education\, and career development services. Participants have the opportunity to share experiences\, develop new partnerships\, explore Erasmus+ and other international programmes\, and discuss future collaborative projects. Overall\, International Week serves as a dynamic forum that enhances institutional links\, supports professional development\, and reinforces HMU’s commitment to openness\, innovation\, and global engagement in education and research.
